The Development Corporation of Columbia Heights has delivered more than 131 units of affordable housing for low and moderate-income families since its first project in 1991.
Housing Highlights Include:
•Targeted the highly distressed 1400 blocks of Columbia Road, Chapin and Girard Streets NW in Columbia Heights for intensive programming required to attract new homeowners, renters, and investors. Housing and community projects on targeted blocks include:

•2327-2331 15th Street
•1474 Chapin Street
•1415 Girard Street
• 1461 Girard Street
•1429 Girard Street
•1430 Chapin Street
•Developed the DC Pool Project which is located at 1474 Chapin Street NW and 1030-1034 Euclid Street NW. It was the Districts first non-contiguous FHA-insured tax credit/tax exempt project developed by anon-profit organization which provided 32 affordable housing units for low and moderate-income households in Columbia Heights.
•Purchased the Fairmont Square Apartments at a public auction to prevent displacement of low-income and elderly neighborhood residents. The property is located at 1225 Fairmont Street NW.
•Organized successful development teams for major commercial and housing projects.
