  The Development Corporation of Columbia Heights is a progressive, independent, non-profit community development corporation. We are dedicated to improving quality of life for residents and business owners in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC.
 
Mission
 
Our mission is to provide a matrix of programs and services, deployed at all levels of the work-life continuum, to strengthen the civic fiber and social cohesiveness of Columbia Heights.
 
We preserve and develop affordable housing in our neighborhood; work to nurture a dynamic economic climate for small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs; and grow meaningful options for residents by providing leadership training, job training and placement opportunities.
