In this Startup Saturday Entrepreneurship class...
Design Thinking concepts attempts to inspire the essential element of creativity, the ability to take an abstract idea and create something with it. It is based upon the fundamental belief that an unexecuted idea, one that is never realized, is a worthless proposition and that doing is equally as valuable as thinking. During the entrepreneurship training, this will be done through a series of role-playing exercises where teams exercise different characters developed through joint brainstorming sessions. These role-playing games allow for a rapid ideation (idea generation) with the ability to visualize and adapt the results in near real-time.
No reading textbooks, case studies or developing papers! Participants are inspired to interact with industry and focus on developing a business model to scale and grow their venture using the Business Model Canvas.
We currently have 10 sessions planned on Saturdays from 10am – 12:30pm; February 9, through April 27, 2019. The workshops are stand-alone, ensuring small business owners can select classes is most convenient to them. The workshops are free, but do require advance registration.
Continental breakfast is provided. If you have any questions, please call Dr. Erika Ferguson at (202) 483-4986 or email at eferguson@dcch.org.
